Thanks Denise,
I am currently taking a course in nutrition and just finished the chapter on fats. Now I really realize how important the essential fatty acids are to us.

"How many of you would like to see this also?"

I already do that with the Food Tracker... I add the supplements as I would any food item.

I'll pass that along as a suggestion.

Thanks!

I did what you suggested and I see where I can add some additional ones. However, Omega 3 and Omega 6 Alpha-Linolenic and Linoleic Acid are not on the list. These two essential fatty acids are important to a heart patient like myself. The other thing that is important is the ratio between the two essential acids.

Thank you,
Don

You can add your vitamin supplements as a manually entered food item so that you can track them in your nutrition tracker. www.sparkpeople.com/community/help_answer.

If you want to add nutrients to track: www.sparkpeople.com/community/help_answer.

.

I hope that helps!

I would like to see a vitamin tracker. It would be great to track vitamins, minerals, fats (omega 3, 6, 9), and other supplements such a CoQ. By doing this, we could see where our deficiencies are. How many of you would like to see this also?
