son-13-finale-spoiler-alert/slide/1

There are the before and after "glamor shots" of each contestant.

I agree- Jeremy may have lost that kind of weight, but my guess is that he lost muscle along with fat, and has not lost in a healthy, sustainable way. Maybe I'll be wrong, but he doesn't look like he did this the right way, and looks like he is a likely candidate to gain back quite a bit of weight.

Conda looks like the game-player she was. She was more worried about winning the $$, and helping her bro to keep the $$ in the family, than getting healthy. I think she is still chubby. She looks ok in this photo, but not gor a TBL finalist.

Kim looks scary- she did it right. I hated her on the show, but she did it right.

Mike was the at-home winner, i believe- he did it right, also.

I just watched the last show for this season and I would have to call BS that Jeremy was 190...

I can see why people say that, but Jeremy especially was VERY unhealthy to begin with. This is a guy who started with a BMI of about 60 and has about cut that in half. Yes, he still has a long way to go, but I'm impressed that someone as out of shape as Jeremy has lost almost 40% of his body weight.

Frank-

I completely agree with you. Conda, Kim, and Mark were so negative and so into conspiracy and game-playing that this entire season was ruined by their behavior. I hated this season. I stopped watching because of them- I was a dedicated viewer the past few years, but stopped watching in February and only checked in again last week with the "walk-off" show.

I think it shows as well. Conda and Jeremy really do not look good. Now, it's been 6+ weeks since they went home, so it may be interesting to see how those 2 tried to shape up at home, but I think they both looked very unfit, had enormous amounts of body fat on them, and looked generally obese in the most recent show. Maybe not as morbidly obese as when they started, but obese nonetheless.

Kim looks pretty good. i don't like her, but it looks like she has been doing what is necessary to get fit, and it shows.

I can't remember a prior seaon when show FINALISTS looked as bad as Conda and Jeremy did this past week. You'd think that, after 4 months of nutritional guidance from experts, elite-level athletic training and fitness, etc., they'd at least look healthy.

First off, I love watching the biggest loser. Very inspirational. That being said, I found this to be the most disappointing season by far due to the mean-spirited behaviour of Conda, Mark and Kim. They are just bad people...straight up. The only reason that Conda and Jeremy are in the final is because of the manipulative behaviour that seemed to win out on this season. The way they treated Adrian was a disgrace. It was like watching the biggest loser version of "Lord of the Flies" and poor Adrian's head ended up on the stick.

I really wished they all walked off the show and let some of the more inspirational contestants come back. Gameplay is all fair, but not when you have to be "evil" to do it. That was Mark and Conda in particular!

Sorry for the negative post...it just really irked me this season. I actually love this show.

I got to agree with Eric there, those two still look way to big to be finalists for the show. The only thing I can think is they are losing what little muscle they had under all their fat...

I've only tuned in here and there this season. i hated every one of the contestants.

I did hear about the "surprise twist" this week, and checked it out. I was shocked at how FAT Conda and Jeremy look. I have never seen finalists on this show look as FAT and pathetic as they do.

Kim looks like any other season finalist- lean and mean. Conda looks like any fat chick i would see walking down the street eating a hot dog, and Jeremy looks like dog crap.

Kim is not popular with the other people and with the 15lbs last week she will probably have either a very low loss this week or maybe even a gain so she might get voted out now...

Maybe I'm alone, but I'm loving this season! I picked Kim to win week 1 and she's looking prime to do so.

This season did not really have anyone I would want to win, Santa Claus guy was the only one I liked and he got voted off...

I didn't even watch this week's episode. It's still on my DVR, so maybe I'll fast-forward through it, but from what i read in an online summary, it was worse than ever as far as the back-stabbing and negativity.

I also read that unnamed contestants have walked out at a very late stage in the competition when they found out that the at-home winners may have a chance at the big $$ rather than the $100,000 at-home prize. I can only gues who they are (Conda? Kim? Mark?)

Man- what aunch of jerks they picked as contestants.

You're probably right. The excuses flying around make the contestants look whiny, mean, and lazy. We don't like looking at ourselves in the "mirror"! LOL!

I try to catch the show every once in a while, it gives me new ideas for different exercises every once in a while. There is a lot of whining this season but that might be what they are trying to show...look at most people you know that need to workout, they probably whine and pull out every excuse they can also...lol

I stay as far away from reality shows as possible for obvious reasons.

Conda is absolutely miserable. I wish they would vote her off the next time she is below that red line. My wife and I have watched about the last 6 seasons or so, it's an alright show, but I agree with BrewBill about it being a tad disingenuous. The only time they show what they are eating is when it's a plug for Jenny-O turkey or whatever yogurt is sponsoring the show that season. I like the episodes with the chefs that show you how to make fun, delicious and low calorie meals. We've tried a couple of them and they are great!

I'm hoping at least one of those women on the red team get voted off soon, so they don't feed off of each others negativity. That is very annoying. I'm also interested in what happens next week, as it seemed a lot of their weight loss started to plateau. Interested in how they adjust to alter that.

Yes. I think TBL producers either aimed for that, or when they saw how pathetically whiny and excuse-laden their cast of contestants was, have tried to edit the show accordingly to make that the storyline.

With that said, the contestants (2 of the red team women in particular) are miserable people. I'm losing interest quickly- the focus on their nasty glances, snotty comments, and overall negative and toxic personalities is terrible. I thought that ex-pro wrestler would have been better.

I struggle with the attitudes of several cast members. It is interesting to relate to some of the excuses used by them for their health problems as I have used some to justify not taking care of myself.

This weeks episode was all about the aqua team, and "Santa" didn't have Dr. clearance to be involved in the competition. He still had some motivational lines. I have really enjoyed watching this show. My wife won't watch it with me, so I can scream at the tv like its a football game. With the exception of a few cast members attitudes, I find this show very inspiring.

"Santa's" wife was the one who wanted to quit last week. She painted a target on her back by doing that, and nearly got kicked off.

I guess this season is interesting because it exposes the excuses of the "every person"- what everyone must overcome to become healthy: too tired, too busy, too hard, etc. These contestants have every excuse lined up and ready to go, and Bob and Dolvett are HAMMERING it out of them.

I'm not a real fan of the show but I've watched the first few episodes. I love the Santa Claus couple! They are so sweet together. I hope they can really make it happen.

I watched one season of BL in 2010 and that's all I could stands. These may seem like nitpicks, but that was a 30 minute show dragged out to 2 hours and the embedded commercials were an insult to my minimal intelligence. Jillian's ad hoc psychology sessions were annoying. The focus on the drama rather than the methods wore on me. The fact that this is mostly diet and there was next to 0 focus on diet was a bit on the disingenuous side.

On the plus side, it was inspirational to see the transformations. There is some good, albeit sparse, advice. Some of the things these people did made you question whether you could be doing more yourself (which is good).

Ultimately for me, the bad outweighed the good and this thread seems to confirm that it isn't getting better. emoticon

good point, and it looks like the producers are beating that theme in. If the contestants truly shape up, then they will be a big success story.

But this is my 4th season I've watched, and the drama and assciated whining/complaining is at an alltime high for what I've seen! On to next week's show!

This is the first season I have ever watched, and I think its great. There is complaining from a lot of the contestants, and unnecessary attitude. The theme of the season is no excuses, and that's part of why they show all of that drama. Also, Santa is a freaking beast.

Anyone else watching?

Wow- what a bunch of complainers and excuse-makers. The trainers are working overtime to overcome the very negative personality traits and habits of most of this season's contestants. One guy quit. Another asked to be voted off. One woman threatened to quit. And it's only week 4.

Another woman is so toxically negative that she got kicked out of the gym for being a distraction to her team. She was giving Dolvett a terrible time with snarky comments about everything.

Finally for now, a 57 y/o contestant fell apart physically by developing tendonitis in her hip soon after she was voted off the show. She was the worst participant from a perspective of being able to keep up w/ the show's competition I'd ever seen, and now she is barely able to walk. She has to her credit lost 50+ pounds, though.

Man, what a lousy season- but I guess that if any of them really turn it around, the season will produce some of the best success stories ever. A big IF, though, for now.
