I totally agree with the "Slow and Steady" approach. I have lost 9.5# since I started Oct. 2009. Recording fitness point and "other goals" has helped me the most! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the "Getting Fit Over 50" board. I post here pretty much every day, but try to focus on either welcoming new people or getting or giving help on a specific question. I usually avoid the topics with thousands of posts; I'm serious about learning to properly manage my weight, so I'm usually looking for serious topics.

Hello Everyone!
This is such a nice, friendly message board - well, the people I mean. Mind if I pop in now and again? I am over 60 and pretty fun-loving.

I have just started week 2 and going slowly, getting the hang of exercising and eating thoughtfully. So far, so good. Not perfect but I'm pleased. Love the Spark site! Isn't it wonderful? There are so many success stories here - I plan to be one next year!
