I feel new at this, I have been part of spark for many years; however, just now did I start taking it serious. I love the fact that I could hang out here regardless of if I was doing something to change my life or not. I felt like it was those AA meetings, not everyone that comes to the first meeting starts talking the first day, it can take some time to come out and speak up. I keep talking about AA like I have a problem with drinking, and I just want everyone to know that I don't. It just seems that in all the things that I have read and done to help me with my weight, that program is the one that relates more to me. This site has lots to do, to help keep you on track. From what to eat, how to eat it, equipment for working out, the right clothes to wear when working out, how to get a makeover once you reach your goal, but my favorite (not that I'm there yet) is the support you will get once you get to your goal, because what do you do once you get to the weight you want and DON'T have to continue on a diet now what, how do you eat normal?

Great 1st post. Jump right in and try all the great features. I'm still finding new things every day and I have been here a couple of months. Just weight in this morning and I have lost 20# so I know that the program works. It is a great place to meet nice people and share experiences.

You did a great job for your first post. I am also a mom to adult children, two boys. They both live away from home now, but are still fairly young (early twenties) and so no grandchildren for me yet. My husband farms, and I have a desk job.
Great job on your weight loss to date. Please let me know if I can help you find things on the site, or if you have any questions. There are alot of resources available, and if you can't find something, just ask!
I have never posted before not really sure what I should post.
For now I will introduce myself. I am a mother of 3 adult children and 2 step daughters. I have 7 grand children and another on the way.
I am working to live a healthier life style. When I first started I was at my highest weight of 165 this was 5 years ago. I was able to get myself down to 135 and have stayed there for about 4 years now. I have been frustrated since I have lost that weight, as I seem to be in a rut now. I have not been able to lose anything for quite some time.
Beside my work (desk job) I am typically pretty active, I workout with my husband every other day and we spend much of our time outside doing yard work.
So that is what brought me to SparkPeople. I am hoping that I can get back on tract as I would like to lose at least 15 more pounds thought 20 would be great.
