Absolutely track your food and stay within the calorie range as much as you can! If I stop tracking, even if I am still working out daily, I stop losing weight. It will help you to think more about what you are putting into your body. Staying within the suggested calorie range is the biggest part of most people's weight loss. IT DOES WORK!
Yes, it works - not always IMMEDIATELY, but if you are consistent, stick to both the calorie ranges and the distribution of fats, carbs, and protein you WILL have success.

Yes, it works. You need to stay within the caloric range and make sure that your are eating the right amount of fats, carbs, and protein which the nutrition tracker will tell you when you log in your meals. Eat healthy meals on most days and you will be successful. It works for me. Before SparkPeople, I thought I was eating healthily, however when I totaled the calories, I was eating too many calories even though I exercise every day.

I'm so wanting to loose weight, :( since i've been here with spark i've done little to loose the weight, i keep trying to stay motivated, but it's not working. So i read i read a lot and the results here are wonderful to see. Well, now I need to stop reading and start doing.
As the topic says, On the nutrition count specifically the "Calories" (total) does it work? Its only been 3 days since i started to do the count, and I am trying to add everything i eat for the day and it seems to be going well, but does it really work? will i loose weight if i stay within the rage it's telling me to?
I've never counted anything before when it comes to food, I eat i love to eat and I'm happy, but.... as you can see i'm a bit fluffy now and have been for a few to many years. I need that changed in a huge way. I've asked a few people here and i've gotten a little help, but i'm going to just keep asking until i get it, what ever it is. I need to figure this out. I can't keep living like this, i'm in a serious need of weight change.
I've always been a bike rider for the fun of riding, but now I'm riding to loose the weight. I try to ride my mountain bike or my street bike at least 3 to 4 days a week for at least one hour, and that too I have just started to keep track of.
Anyway i'm looking for help! in anyway would would be grateful.
