I mulched and raked over 5 hours yesterday...worn out but glad I did it

I raked all over the neighborhood this year, lol. I needed about 30 bags of leaves to cover my gardens and don't have trees in my yard. I really enjoyed the workout but then again I'm one of those crazy people who likes to shovel snow and mow lawns!

This year the leaves are very light, but there are a lot of them, and they haven't all dropped off. Wait until the first snow!

No wonder it is such a hard chore. I am raking bark, dirt and all kind of old junk into my leave pile. New house and trying clean up after people have negleted such a beautiful place!

I always find myself really using my abs as I rake wet leaves (the only kind we have at this point in the fall). It is a good workout - and you can actually see the results of your efforts for a while afterwords, too. :)

never have really appreciated raking leaves.... especially since I've "aged"...but learning you can burn 300 calories in an hour...holy moly... I can handle a backache for that... actually since I've been exercising.....it doesn't bother quite as much as it used to. cool, huh
