Do you think they used some wood chips and threw them on the grill? I love a dash of olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper - so good!

here are a couple of links for some nice sites...first one is kabobs with grilled mesquite veggies, 2nd is a site with a bunch of links to recipes....you might try going thru those some have great directions.

Also check for the McCormick spices in your local supermarket. They now have cards with spices and directions for specific dishes...easy peasy the spices are pre-measured.

Good Luck! WP

Check the aisle in your supermarket where the ketchup/mustard/mayo is sold. Look for these items :

McCormick's makes a Mesquite marinade called Grill Mates , it comes in a packet and you add water and oil to it.

Lawry's makes a Mesquite marinade that comes in a bottle, already to go !

K.C. Masterpiece also makes a Mesquite marinade that comes in a bottle too.

I have been through the recipies looking, but have not found the one I am searching for. I don't know exatly what it is called, but we were at a cookout and there were red, green, yellow and orange pepper strips that were grilled. They were marinated or seasoned with a mesquite flavor. I tried getting a bottle of liquid mesquite flavoring but I am the worlds worst cook and it was not pretty. Can someone help me figure out how to add mesquite flavoring to grilling vegies? PLEASE.

Thanks.
