Hi all! I'm Deb.

This sounds like a fun challenge ... I need to concentrate on something other than the number on the scale for a while ...

Last month I had 1100 fitness minutes, and I skipped the last week of the month because my daughter had a baby and I was otherwise occupied ... so this month I think I'll try for 1250. That sounds reasonable since I've already missed the first 3 days of the month and won't be back in the gym until Monday.

I have to give some thought to what I think is realistic for me. I think I'll aim for a low target this month of 600 minutes and see how it goes.

Had to curtail my walk today because it looked like it was going to rain, so we cut off a leg of the walk. Then when we were still a third of a mile from home, it started to pour. A very nice lady saw us standing under a tree and had us come in until the rain stopped. So the walk was only 1.92 miles rather than the customary 2.28 miles. However since my DH (he needs exercise more than I do emoticon ) will walk with me if I ask him (which I do because I want him to get healthier), I am walking far more than I used to. Which is great for me emoticon . emoticon here I come. I can do this!

Hi everyone - sorry I'm a couple of days late. I'd love to join this challenge! You all seem to have higher targets than I could ever imagine, but I got my gym membership yesterday and I'm determined to stick with it so I need something to aim towards.

I'm going to start with an 800 minute challenge, as that seems fairly do-able.

As of yesterday 800 / 45 / 755

I am going to adjust my time to 2000 since I can count the weights. So as of now I have

2000/185/1815

This may be ambitious but we will see.

90 minutes at the gym and a 45 minute walk in the neighborhood today

I made my August goal of 1500, but I am mixing up my workouts this month so I am lowering my goal to 1000.

I'm going to keep my goal the same this month -- at 750 minutes. However, like others here, I will be going on vacation and have a few concerns about meeting my goal. I'll have to do a good job in the first couple of weeks.

Welcome to our new workout minutes challenge for September. We would love to have some new folks join us this month!!! Amazing how quickly the summer is passing!! Hopefully we will all stick with the workouts and be in much better shape as we head into Fall!
For any new challenge members we have been setting a monthly workout minutes goal and posting as follows:

goal minutes/today's minutes/minutes left until goal

I am going to decrease my workout minutes goal to 1000 minutes this month-I will leave for my cruise in mid September into the first 10 days of October so will not be posting and be unable to workout anywhere near what I would like to. I also am looking for a volunteer to start our October workout post since I will not have internet access-if you would be willing to help out please either post here or send me a message and the first person who expresses an interest is thw winner. ROFL emoticon
