A lot of money is spent on weight loss each year....it doesn't however mean long term success. Sparkpeople is free and is meant to support you long term. I love this place. Good luck on continuing your weight loss. You sound like you have a great daughter to keep you going. Now that is priceless.
I'm reading the "Diabetes Diet" by Richard Bernstein M.D. and learning a lot since I have Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance. I don't want to get Type 2 diabetes. He has lectures on YouTube that are very interesting. He has had Type 1 Diabetes since age 12 and he is 78 now. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VaNJO7KMgg
Congrats on the 30 pounds. I think you will do great especially now that you will have your daughter for support.

I started my journey on October 29, 2012 when I decided to go to Ideal Protein. After 3 months of this lifestyle I can no longer afford it. while on the diet I did lose 30lbs. I now will be following spark diet and exercising. I think that this will be more beneficial as my 18 year old daughter has also joined sparkpeople and she has taken it upon herself to make sure our entire family is eating healthy.
