When your friends stop using these "quick fix" weightloss programs, the weight will come back on just as easily as it came off.
Weightloss is not about losing weight as quickly as you possibly can. It is about changing your lifestyle to a more healthy one so that you have a healthy life for many years to come. Its about routine. Its about getting healthy eating and exercise to be part of your daily life. The weight may not come off quickly, but it will come off and by that point, eating well and exercising will be a second nature and you will find the weight will stay off!
So stick with it and be proud of yourself! You have put in the hard work and they have got the quick fix. So who is the one who has more to be proud of? Who is the one that others will look up to? That would be you!

You are so right! Slow, steady loss is by far a better and often longer lasting loss. I have a colleague who lost so much weight in the same time frame I have been losing. Sure it can be frustrating to look at her and my losses and feel frustrated. In reality though, I am in a much better place as my loss will better. I did not eliminate foods from my diet as she did. I am learning to eat healthier and smarter.
As for how to get stay on track, change up your routine. That will help you through your stalled moment. You are doing a great job! Keep it up!

I don't want to offend anyone who may be using these plans, but can some of you please remind that healthy eating and exercise are the way to solid weight loss!!??? I have 3 or 4 friends who have all lost about 40 pounds each in the last 3 months using "ideal protein" or "Body by vi" or dr bernstein, or some other packaged food, drink a shake get a shot in the butt kind of diet.
I have to admit- I am tempted. I have lost about 45 pounds over the past 8 months through healthy eating and regular strength and cardio workouts. My weight loss has been stalled or minimal for a while and I actually joined SP to find my mojo again. I gotta admit to being really frustrated and looking for a quick fix - any helpful suggestions to stay on track?
