a couple of handfuls of fruit, a couple of tablespoons of tofu, a couple of tablespoons of benefiber (tasteless) or metamucil, ice. blend it all. add some oatmeal if you are not full enough. calories vary with the fruit, but usually under 250 calories.
i personally mix and match. i prefer 2 handfuls of fresh spinach in my smoothy, but i tend to wilt the spinach in a pot of water and let it cool with some ice cubes in the pan. (makes the bits of spinach not as crunchy.) after a while, i put the spinach and water in the blender. i add a banana and some frozen strawberries. four or five green grapes. some frozen blueberries. some orange juice. a tablespoon of vanilla low fat yogurt. blend on high for a minute.
also, ive substituted with kale and raspberries. also added frozen cherries and they were good like that too.

I love, love smoothies. I mix frozen blueberries, 1/2 banana, unsweetened almond milk or unsweetened coconut milk, 1-2 scoops of J.Michaels whey protein, and organic raw honey from Traders Joe. To feel more fuller I also add 1 tbsp Chai Seeds and for digestive reasons I use 1 tbsp of liquid flax seed. Enjoy!
1 banana - frozen is best but not frozen is o.k. too 2 tablespoons peanut butter 1/2 cup skim milk 1 tablespoons honey 3 ice cubes
Place in blender and mix well

My favorite filling smoothie is the Glowing Green Smoothie recipe from Kimberly Snyder. You can make a batch, freeze them in canning jars and take them as you need them. I didn't think I would enjoy them because of the amount of veggies in them (I like veggies, but didn't think blended veggies would be yummy), but I was so wrong. It tastes good and is so filling because of all the fiber in it. I posted the link to the recipe.

One of my favorite smoothies is a cup of orange juice, strawberries, a mango, a banana, and a handful of kale mixed in a blender. Happy Eating

I love smoothies, so I'm happy to share one of my favorite, easy recipes. I combine about 10 strawberries, a whole mango, a cup of coconut milk and a handful of ice cubes in the blender. Puree for about a minute and that's all! If you're not a coconut milk person, a cup of water will do as well. I find the coconut milk makes the recipe more filling, though.
I would like to have some smoothie recipies that I can eat for breakfast and lunch that will at the same time make me feel fuller so I won't be reaching for snacks. I'm a dental assistant and we get no lunch break, so I need something that will be nutrious and fast but fill me up.
If you have any recipies to share I would appreciate it, or if you know of a website that contains different recipies that would be great.
