I find the cookbook very good,there are times when you have to adapt recipes but as long as you use like for like as far as calories are concerned yesterday we had the lemon roast chicken and it was delicious a medium chicken fed three of us with masses left over I am making stock with the bones at the moment and there will still be bits of meat for the dog from that. I find it hard that I cannot buy endive or celeriac locally in ireland very few fruits are actually ripe , I have' satsumas' that are not sweet at all at the moment .I will have to find a way to use them up, any suggestions will be welcomed ( I find that word not in the dictionary I wonder what they are called in the States) good luck with losing the weight , I am stuck at the moment and must try harder.

I want to get the cookbook. I usually follow direction the first times a recipe, then tweak it a little from time to time.

Thank you all for posting your reviews but how to I get to sample some of the recipes before I decide to buy it. I am truly about 80% there but I have to try some recipes first\

Sticking with whole foods and using herbs and spices for flavor instead of salt, sugar and fat is the way to go. If this cookbook does that, then I might buy it. For me, there are so many ways to just combine all the wonderful foods Jehovah gave us, sometimes, cook books that use whole foods seem so simple, I say to myself, why didn't I think of that? Anyway. Glad you all are enjoying it. :)
Since getting my cookbook I have cooked much more, which my wife has been really happy since she does the majority. I love the mac n cheese and so did my kids. I also did the maple pecan chicken which my son said was like eating at a restaurant...We did the trail mix yummy. I did the pb and J smoothie....yuck I didn't like it, but I did use greek yogurt which I found out I hate so that may be why...I really like this book its been easy to follow...I want to do some slow cooker one's now

I agree! Since buying it I have cooked at least 3 meals a week from it. I think I'm in love with Chef Meg.
Spark people cookbook= There may not be ALL the photos, but the photos in here, ARE AMAZING! This book is truly inspirational & delicious! I will be buying it for many friends & family members! PLUS it helps support Spark People! We are SO lucky that this site is FREE! I would not be able to do it otherwise. As I am changing my habits, it is lovely to browse this fabulous health inspiring huge book! Have a Sparkling day! *~LIGHT

I LOVE this cookbook! Yesterday for Easter I made the Herb Roasted Turkey! It was Out of this World! We used 2 oranges instead of one and we squeezed the juice inside the cavity! You could really taste the orange in the turkey! FABULOUS!
I have made the herb roasted chicken with the lemons and next time I will squeeze the lemon inside the cavity also!
BTW I don't think that I got the 500 points when I bought the cook book...Could someone please check this for me? Thanks

I made 3 recipes from the cookbook this week and all of the recipes were wonderful my family enjoyed them. I am going to make more this week. The recipes are great tasting and nutritious. I highly recommend the Spark people cookbook.

This is an absolutely amazing cookbook! I LOVE the first 2 intro pages! GREAT encouragement! I collect cook books, too! I've been a vegetarian cook, I've ran a vegetarian deli &&&&&&&. Thank You for an amazing inspiration! I eat chicken & eggs, but nothing with hoofs. I'd go all the way if I had to kill them myself! I'm wondering, if I buy another copy for my Mother in Law, do I get 500 more points? For each copy I buy?
I love the cookbook! Im trying to claim my points and it keeps saying "an error occured, wrong code" but I know thats the code in my cookbook! :-(

I, too, love this cookbook, especially since my family will actually eat (some of) the meals form it. Still trying to get them to eat more legumes and alternative grains, lol. I have enjoyed everything I've tried out of it. I would like to try the multigrain rolls today, but I never have much luck with bread-making. I am going to try using the dough setting on my bread machine for the kneading and first rise, the finishing them in the oven. Hopefully I'll get good results!

Thank you so much for posting. I was wondering what people (not advertisers) thought about the book. I have so many cookbooks, I didn't want to purchase and find out it's not really that good. Now, I can confidently ask for it for my birthday/Valentine's day. Thanks again. Kara
Love this book!! I can't say enough. Love the fact it tells you how much a serving is. Ususally cookbooks say 4 servings but don't tell you that 1 cup is a serving. This cookbook does. Love the fact that it uses items either I have or are easy to get. Also some of the meals are under 30 minutes. Love that. Made Tuna Noodle Casserole delish!! Even my hubby liked it. I could go on and on. Good job Sparks.
