I've been reading Richard Bernstein MD's "THE DIABETES DIET" and learning about my Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance. He has lectures on youtube that are so worth listening to since he has had Type 1 diabetes since age 12 and he is 78 now.

To help with stress learn to do EFT TAPPING. There are Youtube videos.

Good for you for not quitting. Sometimes its really hard to stay on track and focused but we have to keep moving forward. Small steps and small goals help me. Instead of just one big weight loss goal I give myself smaller monthly ones that I can achieve and feel so much better at months end when I've reached them. Best of luck to you.

Catdm7 the good thing is that you are realizing your stress factor and you know what happens when you stress. I know that I am an emotional eater as well. Our bodies respond to stress by eating! However I saw a documentary on Netflix called Hungry for Change and they recommend that when we start stressing or thinking about food because we are bored we need to start talking to our bodies by saying I am not hungry I am not going to eat! and then finding other things to preoccupy our minds. I think exercising and walking around the parking lot with a co worker helps too!

You can do it! It may also be helpful to learn some new stress reducing techniques :)

I have been struggling this week. I find it difficult to stay on track when I am working because my job is very stressful. I realize that this is only an excuse. I plan to take more healthier snacks to work with me this week, and to leave my change in the car so I am not tempted to go the vending machine. Although I didn't make alot of healthy choices this past week at least I didn't quit. I know one thing that I stopped doing is my journaling. I have no problem with tracking my food and exercise into Sparkpeople, but I don't like to journal. My goal this week is to focus on journaling as well as making healthier food choices. Onward I go!!!
