Same thing happened to me- no additional points, no surveys have been sent to me to take. Must be happening to others and I hope that everyone mentions something. I am sure that Sparkpeople doesn't want to associate themselves with spam like that.

Well, I didn't get the points when I joined the survey team but I did get them almost instantly when I posted here that I hadn't gotten them. Thanks to whoever is so on the ball there at Spark!

I joined once and didn't get any results- points, surveys, anything. Later tried again and got confirmation message that I was "accepted". Several weeks later I have had no spam, one survey with a promise of something having to do with Amazon but no sign of anything actually happening, and no sparkpoints for the signing up either.
I signed up twice because the first time I didn't get my points. Second time still no points so I contacted SparkPeople and I then got my 25 points. I haven't got any phone calls - its hard to tell on emails because I get so many anyway.

I signed up to be on the survey team and was accepted. I never received the spark points but have taken a couple of surveys. I took one that was supposed to result in an Amazon gift certificate or be put in for a drawing but didn't receive any confirmation whether I had won anything. I can't seem to figure out how to even contact anyone with questions.

I didn't sign up for fear of that happening. I hope your problem gets resolved quickly. You can stop the calls by You can register your home phone number or numbers on the national Do-Not-Call list by phone or by Internet at no cost. To add a phone number to the national Do-Not-Call list via the Internet, go to www.donotcall.gov. To register by phone, call 1-888-382-1222 (voice) or 1-866-290-4236 (TTY). You must call from the phone number you wish to register. For more information on the national Do-Not-Call list, visit our Web site at www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall.
I signed up for the survey team when it first was available and so far haven't had a problem. Sure hope your problem can be corrected, AND SOON.

I too signed up for the surveys. I believe there was a box that was initially checked asking if I wanted to be contacted by their affiliates. I unchecked the box and haven't had a problem. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what the problem is. I do daily updates and have thorough, up to date virus/firewall protection. And I'm on the do not call list. I've had an unlisted number for years and haven't had any issues. Very annoying whatever is causing it. Glad it doesn't seem to be an issue for anyone else but wish I could shut it down.
Dependent on your internet connection, your information may have been interecepted before it even reached SparkPeople. If you are connecting wirelessly or if you do not have updated security patches, you can be left vulnerable. In the mean time, update the Do Not Call registry and continue to mark unwanted emails as Spam thru your email provider.

I love the spark people website but am very unhappy with the results of clicking the "join our survey team" link. Once I received the confirm your email address link, I looked at the return address & was worried about the amount of email I would receive. So I never confirmed it. Within days, however, I began to receive phone calls at home (even late at night) and TONS of emails offering me "work at home opportunities" as well as alarm systems, job training, etc... Bear in mind that I have had an unlisted number for years with no similar issues so I know this is where it is coming from. Finally, in exasperation at the continued calls, I answered the phone & told the guy no, I did not request information on working from home. He said I had signed up for a survey team and my phone & email address had been seen to "virtually every marketing company in the country." I AM NOT HAPPY. And I never gave my permission for that to happen. I've looked online for a way to contact Spark People for help with this and couldn't find anything other than this. PLEASE, PLEASE, help me. I don't want and didn't authorize this.
