I'm sure you know this, but muscle weights more than fat so the numbers on the scale aren't nearly as important as the the numbers on the measure tape. So, whooo hooo on adding muscle!

My first and then weigh in and the scale showed -1... I could of easily got depressed.. instead I went on to the spark motivational page and started reading... got me back on track.. the scale is a number... in one week I already felt better ... I can only imagine how GREAT I will feel when I reach my goal and how much healthier I will be. Thanks Spark People.

All in all, it is size that matters, doesn't it? Well that and health but you know what I mean. It sounds like you are doing great! You'll find that the pounds start moving again quite soon.

my measurements are certainly changing! I have been a SparkPeople member since the beginning of March, and after an initial weight loss of 3 pounds, the scale hasn't moved.
However, my pants have been getting looser, and my dress for Easter was a size 8! Tonight (with a lot of anxiety) I took my waist, thigh, and hip measurements again, and lost 1.5 inches from my waist, 2 inches from my thighs, and 1 inch from my hips! That is such an encouragement to me.
Now I just need to keep working hard, and start working on lowering my sodium intake...my intake today was a little over 5 grams - yikes!
