You can either use the recipe calculator and put this together for yourself as a recipe that you can save (or look to see if there are any recipes in the database that are similar enough to what you do) or in the tracker save all of the ingredients together as a group... but I only use that when I am doing a small item like one portion of chicken or tuna salad as opposed to something that makes say 8 portions like spaghetti and sauce.

No, I didn't use this. As I said, I'm new to this and have yet to learn all this site has to offer. Thank you so much - I'll definitely check this out!!

Did you use the recipe calculator on sparkrecipes.com? It is very useful when you are making "mixed" recipes at home.

Hi, I'm new to this plan, having joined about two weeks ago.

And today, I ran into a tracking problem. I made a pasta dinner. My sauce consisted of Hunts canned pasta sauce which was "beefed" up with ground turkey, fried up in a tablespoon of olive oil, along with sauteed chopped onion, garlic and a green pepper (another teaspoon of olive oil). Everything was mixed. On the track sheet, I put down all the ingredients, since there's no way of calculating exactly the amount I actually ate of each ingredient. I ate about 1/8th of what I made, portioning off the rest and freezing it for later meals.

So, how do I go about tracking such dishes? I'll undoubtedly run into the same problem when I make soups, stews, chillis, etc.
