I have loved reading the vacation workout ideas. I am lucky enough to get to go on spontaneous mini vacations somewhat frequently because my family works for an airline but it does throw a wrench in my workout routine!
One thing that I began doing was trying to find a "workout destination" that will be a memorable experience, like hiking in a nearby national park or yoga on the beach. It adds to the trip rather than squeezing stuff in. I got the idea because the gym I go to in vegas had a group come in that was trying out their alternative fitness as part of their trip and I thought it was an awesome idea. that said if you are traveling to Las Vegas a cool way to amp up your workout just off the strip (seriously a cheap cab ride) is Shine Alternative Fitness. they have poles, aerial silks, anti gravity yoga and a bunch of dance classes that are very unique :) http://bit.ly/PByB2N
