That's great, CLERIKSEN! I was never a runner, either, so I totally get what a huge deal this is! Keep it up! Signing up for a 5K was the perfect thing to keep you going. You'll have a blast doing it, too!

So today, after three weeks of brisk walks I managed to walk/job at 4mph for 15 minutes and didn't die. I've been doing 30 minutes of brisk walking 4-5 days a week and tonight....WooHoo I felt charged and energized and I noticed that the workout was easier and I actually didn't mind it. I have found that covering the time on my treadmill makes a difference. If I just go and listen to music instead of counting the minutes the workout is better and easier. So WOO HOO to me for keeping at it, despite not losing but a couple pounds. I'm NOT giving up. I actually signed up for a 5K today with a co-worker and I know at this rate it will be a piece of cake (not literally, lol)
