emoticon Hi there, there's a few website's that can help you figure out just how many calories you are burning when you are walking. I believe it is in a combination of stride , weight and distance. Many of these sites have calculators to help you figure it out, because it can be difficult to do on your own. I hope this is helpful and congratulations on tracking your fitness. Way 2 Go Girl ;-)

surely. I read that to calculate using your strides ; every stride equals .005 calories. therefore 20000 strides equal 5 miles.

Blanche,

Glad you got that sorted out. Those were some very weird figures that you started with.

Whew! 62 pounds would be a little on the dead side. :)

Lol... guess what? I had my weight in as 62 POUNDS rather than 62 kg! What a doofus... :D I now get 259. That's more like it...

I get 373 calories for 60 minutes @ 4mph.

You may want to retry it (it is sometimes easy to make a typo in entering information).

Calorie burn is proportionate to body weight - you may also want to check that your most recent weigh-in is accurately recorded.

The tracker is saying that if I walk for one hour at 4mph I only burn 59 calories... surely that's not right?
