Trim if you must. You mentioned that you aren't doing your arms or legs: GOOD! Only if you're on the Olympic swim team....

No waxing...not fun at all. But manscaping is the way to go definitely. Trimming chest and arms bring out all your definition and makes you look slimmer. Trimming the man parts makes your, uh, privy parts look bigger. (Plus, girls seem to like, um, kissing the clean shaven man.) Just my take.

Waxing is HORRIBLE, I will shave or trim just to keep looking neater but NO WAXING OUCH!!!!!!!!

I have trimmed my chest before, isn't bad at all. Haven't done it in a while though lol I've also shaved my back before, isn't really that hairy, but the thought of having a hairy back creeps me out haha Either way, just do what you feel comfortable with. As for "down low" everyone has their own preference, i'm a trimmer (no shame in saying that haha) but waxing sounds awful (painful) though lol

I worked in waxing for a while so I just wanted to chime in and mention that waxing does require a lot of maintenance. Aside from keeping regular appointments, you also risk ingrown hairs and irritation if you don't take care of your skin the way that the aesthetician recommends. Just keep that in mind if you prefer a more laid back daily routine.

Leave it...

Shaving is the simplest, but you create a lot of daily upkeep for yourself. Waxing is more involved, but you'll get some time between sessions. If you have a clippers around, try trimming with a #1 or #2 guard, see if a little improvement is enough, or if she really wants you to go down to the skin. :)

Leave it dude. If she doesn't like it she'll tell you.

At least trim or shave "downstairs" as a favor to your partner.

Leave it, it's natural. Don't let societal rituals control your opinion on things.

Nair or Veet is the ONLY way to go here my friend. Shaving takes too long and in my opinion is too much work. Waxing??? I think not, seen waxing scene in the movie "40 year old virgin?" That was real dude! Go with the chemical depilatory. Smear it on, let it sit, wipe or rinse it off.

"That Spot" LOL, I've kept that spot clean for years to avoid those stray ball hairs. Like most guys I'm always thinking of you girls. I've tried the electric trimmers before, I think I poseted earlier, not intentionally, the grow back was a bitch. I bought some Witch Hazel, going to break out the trimmers and razor this weekend and give it a try.

use electric trimmers. my boyfriend uses them on his chest and back. keeps the areas nice and clean. he uses them in "that spot" too. very nice, cause who wants a stray ball hair in their mouth? not me lol.

Witch Hazel works great but you have to be consistent with it to prevent the bumps.

Witch Hazel? Never heard of it. I think I'll give that a try. I really don't want to do the waxing. I'm thinking of trimming my chest to "short" hair and then there's just a couple of spots on my back and back of my arms that bug me, that's what I was going to either shave or wax. If that Witch Hazel works that will make my day. Planning on leaving my arms and legs just how they are.

From a lady's point of view......

If you chose to wax, be careful of having distinct lines of smooth to hairy. Meaning, there needs to be a gradual transition. You wouldn't shave your face and leave the hair on your neck, right? Same idea.

I say just neatly trim it. (As if my preference matters.... hehehehe)

If you really want to shave, do yourself a favor and pick up some witch hazel at the pharmacy. (You can find it next to the rubbing alcohol and peroxide.) Put some on a cotton ball and apply it to the shaved area. This will prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs.

Have fun!

I'm going to try some "trimming" around the chest area tonight and see how that goes. Still keep me manly and not metro. This weekend will have opportunity for others to see if it's even noticeable.

Watched 40 year old vigin again last night, and I'm not anywhere close to that hairy, but that waxing just looks painful!!!

And another point to consider: trimming with electric trimmers is less dangerous than having sharp razor blades near...uh...near parts that are not fond of sharp objects.

Trim it....gets the mission accomplished without the daily upkeep.

I know it's trendy these days to be bare, and maybe I'm old fashioned, but I think a man should be at least somewhat hairy. Trim it if you want, but be careful about shaving areas. I bet it itches like heck when it grows back. But as has been stated, it's all a matter of personal preference. Just do us a favor and don't post pics of the trimming/shaving process if you do it, okay? Ha.

I do not like the "grow back" part. My wife and her friend shaved my chest and back one year after the superbowl. Yes, I was drunk and taking a nap after the game, however, I could not fight off the attack very well. I'm pretty sure I will NOT shave, but does waxing create the same itchiness as shaving?

i am hairy like a ape, my wife wants me to get rid of some hair but it grows back quickly, and the itching, that comes from that, the things we do to keep the other half happy!

Trim up the areas she is requesting. There is nothing wrong with a little "man-scraping". If you expect your lady to do it, then you should expect the same.

Thinking will just do the chest and the few spots I don't like on the sides of my back and back of my arms. Hell, why not give it a try. Not going to happen until February, just before we head to Mexico with a group of friends. See what kind of comments they'll have about it. I'm definitely leaving my legs and arms, plus I always have scruff going on my face.

Just so long as I can actually go thru with it all and not have that "mano-latern" look from 40 Year Old Virgin.

It has to be about your comfort level. Just like it is for her and any 'scaping or shaping that she does or does not do.

/that'll be $.02

Uhmm.. definitely leave it... well idk, In my opinion hairy guys who wax some parts of their body look weird... like.. idk, unnatural..? emoticon

10/16/11 5:24 P

Try it. If you hate it let her know. But then expect her to re-pay in spades so that bare beaver you use to enjoy is GONE! LOL!!!

My GF thinks it's 'gay' to shave chest hair, she likes grass on the playing field.

The bad thing is, I'm seriously considering it. Not sure what's going on that I would even consider it.

I can't believe no one else has not been in a similar situation or does not do this on a regular basis.

WOW "Getting some pressure to get some hair removal done" and WOW!" the wife is wanting me to take it further"

Since I had a hair chest. back, and legs when we got married if my wife were to said that to me, would guarantee you this question would be asked. My ex wife told me one time that she did not want a woman cutting my hair, so for 4 years until we separated I chose not to cut my hair.

your body your choice what you do with it

Getting some pressure to get some hair removal done. Anyone done this other than the man-scaping? What have you done, wax or shave. Whole body, chest and back only. I got a hairy chest very little on the back, I mean hardly anything and of course hairy legs and arms, but I'm no gorilla. I think since I've dropped some pounds and got more toned the wife is wanting me to take it further. Suggestions anyone? From what I've read up on, guys can even get "Brazilian" done now. Nothing sounds pleasant about that!
