Oh, and I had my children make cards for my mother. I bought her one of those Blooming Expressions from Hallmark, which she loved. And me and my husband bought her some pretty roses. We also took her out to dinner with us.

I got hand drawn cards from my children. Flowers from my hubby. Then we went to dinner and brought my mother along as well! Very nice day overall.
I gave my mother a clock with a face that looks like a magnolia blossom.
She really likes it and has it sitting right where she can see it, which was the point so she could see the time.
It is really pretty.

Dinner- Thursday with DD who gave me a heartfelt card, gorgeous hybrid orchids (my favorites) and a chocolate covered, cheesecake heart. I politely cut that sweet treat in half and shared it with her. (Sharing is caring) The balance was shared with my work mommies today. Yay me. I would have dogged it and had regrets.

Light peach colored roses, steak dinner out and cards
Gave: my mother some cut flowers in a vase. My mother in law long stem cut flowers we put on her grave.
Recieved: charms for my bracelet, dinner of my choice and cut flowers in a vase (were supposed to be for my mother in law but she passed away 3 weeks ago and I loved the vase and didn't want it to be broken or thrown away so I kept them and we bought her different flowers).
I received from my daughters a Coogi Yellow sundress, beach cover-up, and a Amazon gift card for my Kindle. At church all the mothers received flowers, and at home my friend made bar-b-que ribs for dinner. I gave my mom a nice hat and matching purse that she wore to church on Sunday. Other than that, I sent out numerous text messages wishing happy and blessed mothers day.

I sent my mom flowers and called her. I received a trip the best local pizza place in town, followed by a dreamsicle twisty cone for dessert. Luckily, I was warned that dinner would be a lot of calories... I stayed in my range... barely!

I had to take the family to the store to get my card....purchase it...and have yet to get it this morning. No presents as their Dad doesn't seem to celebrate...of course it will be my fault for not telling him what I want. Never mind that he doesn't even ask....at this point a 13 yr old should be able to motivate the dad.
