It depends on what type of workout you're doing... If you are mainly running, you want to get to a specialty store so they can get you properly fitted for the right pair to minimize the risk of injury due to ill-fitting shoes.
i wear sketcher shape ups, but i've also liked nikes, reebok, & new balance. my advice is find a comfortable shoe. when they get too worn that they hurt i throw them out. there's no point in keeping a shoe that causes pain.
