Oh am I glad to see I am not the only one that goes through this. I have noticed I have to keep my water with me or I end up eating "empty" calories. If I find I am near my calories I grab an apple or small fruit. It has been a week today I have been tracking my food. Tomorrow I will add some walking to the plan.

This is an area where I really struggle as I have discovered that I self medicate with food. I appreciate all the suggestions. My biggest help right now is drinking water and quilting or being on the computer.

I always get hungry at night so I get prone on the couch, get into a TV show, get so comfortable I don't want to get up and sometimes I succeed.

For me, mental hunger is the worst! I will drink water, or find something to keep me busy. It usually works.

For me this often happens when I am really just tired or need a break. Fix yourself some herbal tea, grab a magazine and put your feet up!

you can distract yourself by calling a friend to chat or go for a walk but if all else fails a small snack can help
