I use my vitamix which I wouldn't trade for anything. I make green smoothies and on occasion use protein powder that i get from Designs for health or maximizedliving.com. I trust those powders more than any of the stuff they sell in health food stores
I use a lot of greens which gives me the protein that I need. No dairy. Coconut water or coconut milk, unsweetened almond milk or filtered water. lots of greens and some fruit to add the sweetness i want.

I don't go for flavor, I take a small bottle, put my protein powder in it with powdered milk, then after a hard workout I add water shake it up really good and drink it. It gets me the protein when I need it and that's the most important thing.

Don't do shakes myself, but some friends do. One uses bananas and yogurt a lot, his are more thick smoothies.

I got a health master blender and i thought i would make my own protein shake and it turned out petty good i started that to get my protein,i use nuts ,fruit eggs and skim milk.
