Cleaning!! omg, I clean like a crazy woman when I'm angry. I'm talking, scrubbing floors on my hands and knees (may as well pray for some help dealing with whatever the issue is, while you're down there anyway). If you could see my house right now, you'd know I haven't been really angry in a long time. ; )

i used to smoke LOL now i've switched to gum. i just concentrate on the chewing and it calls me down/distracts me from being hungry

I eat when I am angry too, but I have found that exercise is a better outlet.

Depending on how angry I am, I might scream into a pillow. I might hit the gym for an intense workout with a punching bag. eh-hem. I might take a walk around the neighborhood. I might do some deep breathing exercises.

I do highly recommend deep breathing exercises. They help lower the heart rate. You might find a good yoga class helps because you'll learn how to meditate along with those breathing exercises.

my solutions:

- throw things
- lift weights
- go for a fast run
- go to bed
- vent to a friend
- cry/scream
- listen to loud, angry music

not all of these are healthy, but at least none of them involve calories.

For me, having water first has been really helpful when I want to eat emotionally. Being sad, depressed, angry, happy, bored and eating because of that all falls in the same category. Asking myself "Why will eating (whatever food) help this feeling??" But water helps the body flush toxins so by having 16-24 oz. of water seems help. And if I decided to eat any way then it helped me to eat less.

Maybe you could set a calorie goal, or a fat goal - whatever is important to your over goal. If you're mad and want to eat than the "Angry Fit Food" must fall into "this" range. Maybe make a "Havin' a Fit" food kit. Your healthy go-to indulgence that soothes the emotion but won't wreck your day too bad.

I am having a hard time changing a certain habit of mine: eating whenever I am angry. I would like to know what you do, instead of eating, whenever you are upset/angry. Thank you!

I need suggestions!!!
