In two years I had to buy three different size of clothing. I went from a size 12 to 18 and I barely fit into 18 anymore and did not want to have to invest into another wardrobe. I figured it was about time to get back to where I used to be, I still have all the clothes and I hope to fit back into them by summer.

my Dh pointed at my stomach and asked "what that was?".
My five year old daughter was watching T.V. with me and said daddy you are fat. Then a little while later she said daddy your lungs are black cause you smoke. "You need to be with me forevere, daddy." Few day later after thinking bout it a bit, I tossed the cigs and hit the gym. I feel awesome and in a few months will look awesome to. Best thing.... I am showing my little girls there is nothing I will not do for them. I am also doing this for me.

MY CLOTHES WHERE STARTING TO FIT TO TIGHT AND ALSO FOR SOME ENERGY
I was walking down the hall at school (work) and I saw my side reflection in a display case. I couldn't believe the size of my butt and the rest of me as well. I had also noticed that my pants were not fitting well either!

I really don't have a lot to lose, but my sister has a high blood pressure, my brother has high cholestrol, and I thought I would need to stay fit and watch what I eat. I am going to be 50 soon and would like to look much younger. Also, I watch The Biggest Loser and it inspires me.

I married a gentlemen from Kenya. We are planning a trip to his home and I know that I am not physically fit to make this trip. I lost 20 lbs when I found Spark People. Thanks to SP, I am well on my way to reaching my goal to physically keep up with my husband and his family when I get to the motherland.
Nine years ago I got on a scale that gives you a printout of your weight and tells you what your normal range is. When I read 178 lbs, I was shocked! Seeing it in writing really made a difference. I never want to see that again!

In 2007 joined the Peace Corps. During my first visit to my village, one of the teenagers I would be working with wanted to show me his favorite place. He was on crutches at the time. It was a small knoll in the hills the edge of the village. On the walk up I had to stop several times to catch my breath while he stood on his crutches and waited for me. I knew then I had to get into better physical condition.
Today, as most days, I hiked that complete road past that knoll and back, feeling good.

I had to go from a large to an extra large at my favourite clothing stores. They don't make extra extra large. If I don't lose weight then I won't be able to buy clothes there anymore. I don't want to shop at a plus size clothing store.

FOR A VERY LONG TIME I WANTED TO LOSE WEIGHT, DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY I LOOKED. BUT NOW AFTER VERY LONG TIME I WANT TO LOSE BECAUSE I AM IN PAIN I BELIEVE I HAVE ARTHRITIS, PAIN IN THE JOINTS IN THE TENDONS AND LIGAMENTS, ALSO THE MUSCLES. THE DRS. CALL IT FIBROMYALGIA. I THINK IF I HAVE LESS WEIGHT TO CARRY IT WILL BE BETTER. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND SP AND A BEAUTIFUL BUNCH OF PEOPLE. SINCERELY CATTRINA
Going to a convention and I couldn't get around without getting out of breath. I thought I wouls pass out before it was over. After the first day, I had to rent a medical scooter to make it through from the hotel to the convention site (adjacent to the hotel) and from meetings.

I had spent over 50 years without knowing that I was born with an incurable medical condition that was the validation for my balance and vision problems. My life was spent with people laughing at me when I honestly said, "I don't feel well, I'm in pain." I had almost no self-esteem. Finding out that I had Cerebral Palsy raised my self-esteem. There was a name for what was wrong with my body! It was not going to kill me (I had been tested for so many deadly neurological conditions for 30 years). Now there was something I could do for myself. I joined a gym last year. I taught myself to walk on my heels (I had always walked on my toes). I had put on a lot of weight from overeating and inactivity.I am slowly taking it off so I can tone the skin as I lose. I am very blessed. I am in the 15% of children born with CP who are able to walk and talk on their own. The 50 year delay in attention to the condition has caused lots of additional damage, but I am undoing some it. My wake-up call was that I was not going to die from some undiagnosed condition. That I wasn't going to die meant the weight had to come off!
on my 25th birthday i felt great, had an new outfit of course the biggest size i ever had to wear but i felt good, then i seen the pictures. i was like in one month i have gone from an 13/14 to looking like im almost not fitting an 16/18.. that was the day i said i have to change.

The day I wore my favorite clothes to the club thinking i was looking hot.. while everyone around me were giving me "oh my god! she has the guts to wear this when she is so fat!" looks
That was the day when I came out of my denial mode.
Not being able to tie my shoe laces without panting for breath. Not being able to fit in my clothes.

1) Knowing a woman would be on the Biggest Loser and not wanting to still be watching the show and be the same size at the finale, when I know she will be much smaller. I referring to Carla.
2) Knowing that I was 398 pounds only 2 pounds from 400 and remembering how I was convinced to do something back when I was 19 and 296#s, only 4 pounds from 300. I refused to let myself get there then. An get to 400#s now.
3) Ruby from the show Ruby was heavier than me and now at the finale I was heavier than her.
4) Knowing that I want to have a baby one day and having been married since I was 22 yrs. old and 35 yrs. old now, I'm only willing to get pregnant within the next 5 years or live our lives childless.
5) Wearing a size 32 is the highest I can go and buy from the store. Avenue goes to a 32. Lane Bryant stops at 28. And those are my 2 choices for store bought clothes. Catherine's clothes are just a little to "old" for me a 35 year old.
In the order of how I was effected, these are the wheels that made me wake up and take action.
When it was time to buy even larger clothing. I had perfectly good clothing that was barely fitting, and it was the clothing I bought to replace my previous clothing I had gotten too heavy to wear. We were not in a position financially to keep updating clothing like that! Plus, I was really feeling stiff in movements that were so easy before.
After giving birth to my eldest son I developed back pain so severe that I was bedridden for almost 2 months. And since then, up to this very moment, the pain is still bugging me a couple of times a day. I guess the extra weight is making it worse.
All of my clothes were to tight and I looked preggers:O(

My wake up call was similar. My clothes don't fit, I was "borrowing" my husbands clothes more and more, and I can't afford to buy more clothes so I need to loose the weight! Also, just feeling fat in general. I used to be very active and muscular and I miss feeling good about myself.
