Ken thats wonderful!! and you, too, Amanda!!! I have, on cold days that i dont work, one mug of herbal or decaf tea, and sometimes skim milk at dinner. other than that its WATER. i have some fresca on hand for if i need a change but i literally buy possible a 12 pack every three to four months, and it may be less. i havent bought any since before Christmas and theres only 2 cans gone out of the 12 and one of those 2 are in the fridge!! I love cold, fresh, icy WATER!

I also have recently gave up pop for water. I really hope that this sticks because I have been an avid Pepsi drinker since I was small (my grandma drank Pepsi all of the time when I was little and I frequently would drink her pop when she went to take a shower or went up to do something!) and it's kind of ingrained in me to drink it. I have felt much better and also as a result of not drinking pop, seemed to have stopped drinking coffee also!

I've heard so many people who have trouble giving up their pop. For me, it wasn't much of a struggle. I gave up regular pop, and then after learning about diet pop, I gave that up too. Just not worth it.

I had actualy began doing this right after I had an issue with a bad tooth, the dentist never actualy blamed pop/soda for causing the issue but I felt that it didnt help at all either so I had decided to start drinking water instead. I never actualy knew how much I was supposed to drink until a joined sparkpeople and found that 8 cups of water is what im supposed to be getting daily so that is what I now stick with completley avoiding pop at any cost.
The link you posted is very interesting. I really like how it brings it down into perspective for you. I personaly would drink 3 cans a day of pop and not even think anything of it, that is probably why my weight has become a big issue . I thank you for showing me that link it was very helpful and supportive in my decission in staying away from pop for good.
I'd love to hear your thoughts after reading this.

I have officialy quit my soda habbit and it feels great! I have swithched to just drinking atlesast 4 bottles of water a day and have already felt a difference as far as my mood and selfesteam. It will be great not having to worry about the liquid calories ruining my day before it even starts. If you enjoy drinking water join the discussion and maybe we can start a water community group if interested.
