I like to snack on trail mix. What I do is take about 1/4 cup - put it in a bowl and eat it very slowly. Taking each nut and chewing it very thoroughly. This takes time of course - but by the time I'm finished my "craving" is done and I've only eating a few calories.

I love hummus with whole wheat pita (I like to toast my own) or carrots/peppers. Greek yogurt with a crushed up crunchy granola bar. It's a little high in calories, but so good and healthy. I also like apples and nuts. Yum!

I swear by Hummus...I love it. With Carrots or Red Bell Peppers. Also with Wasa crackers...low in calories & tons of Fiber.

Also love Granola Bars...sweet & chewy. The other thing I will get is Low Cal/High Fiber English muffins...just a little light cream cheese & cans of Mandarin Oranges...they are sweeter & no peeling.

I like taking some pumpkin puree (hey, it's in season!) and adding cinnamon, nutmeg, etc, vanilla, sweetener (I use stevia) and warming it in the microwave. Sometimes I'll add a little sliver off the stick of butter.

I actually have some of this with breakfast lately, and various other times of day if I desire it. I've been very into squash this winter, lol.

A few almonds or a handful of pistachios will often do the trick for me. Something about the chewing (crunching!) seems to satisfy. When I have to have sweets, I try to save some calories, carbs etc for the end of the day and treat myself to frozen yogurt.

And eat slowly.... savor EVERY nibble!

sometimes when I have a craving for chocolate... I have a prepackaged pudding...
there are other flavours but I prefer pudding
you can store it in the cupboard, take it anywhere... won't go bad

granola bars with high fiber, like Fiber One bars, are a healthy snack, and they are delicious and filling too...

I love to snack and I'm finding that the hardest to give up. Anyone found some yummy but healthy snacks that don't derail dieting? I know the usual fruits and vegeatables but I need MORE!
