I agree with others posts - make sure you are getting enough calories and the correct type. When I first started spark, I was amazed to find out that I wasn't getting enough good fat. I had heard for so long "low fat, no fat, fat makes you fat" etc., that I had almost obliterated it from my diet. Now I've added in nuts, seeds, avocados, salmon, and I have much more stable energy all day long. I also get plenty of protein (a bit higher than spark suggests) and carbs (a bit lower than spark suggests).

You should definitely not be run down, unless perhaps your body just hasn't had time to adjust to a big change in diet. You didn't say what your diet was like before April, but it's possible you were so used to getting too much that it may take a few weeks to reset expectations.

I agree a post to the nutrition board would be good, and making your tracker public so people can make comments that are directly relative to your diet.

If your diet is balanced with your carbs, calories, protein, and fats then I'm wondering if you're getting enough "me" time to just relax and refresh your mind. When I'm stressed I seem to be more tired than usual. I'll have some time early in the morning and then in the afternoon. It's not a lot of time, but it's my time and it does help me focus on positive things and ideas and gives me an opportunity to set my mind to a positive state for the rest of the day. Hang in there,! Your body is also going through an adjustment period where you'll need to be consistent to let "it" know who's boss!! emoticon emoticon

I'm not working out as aggressively as you, and I'm sleeping pretty well, but I also get that mid-afternoon crash thing. What I do is take a short walk for an errand, or just around the block if there is no useful errand to run, and then I have a planned snack with protein. I don't wait for the crash, I usually do it in the 3 pm hour since my crash will hit around 4 if I don't. Sometimes I will add caffeinated tea or coffee but I try not to because that will mess up my sleep schedule later.

Also, one thing that helps a LOT more than I thought it would is having a very protein-heavy breakfast, like an egg white scramble or something. On days when I do that for myself, the crash is much less severe.

My goal is by my birthday.... so it is very important to me to lose the weight. I also have a son that will be graduating high school and I don't want to embarrass him or myself by being so fat and out of shape. I have pictures from my older sons graduation and I am humiliated that I looked that way and I had lost a few pounds but the picture does not lie.
I did update my fitness goals and added how many calories I needed to burn, but nothing changed on my food plan, so I don't know what else could be going on.

As far as community programs, they still charge and when you don't have it you don't have it.

I don't see where I (or anyone) said you were working out a lot; however, when you exercise, you DO need to ensure that you're eating enough to support that exercise. Working out a lot while eating very little can actually your metabolism.

What is your current weight loss goals? What do you have your time frame/amount to lose set for? When we set a too-aggressive schedule for our weight loss, Sparkpeople automatically puts you in that lower bracket... which can be a problem, especially if you haven't properly entered in your fitness goals in the goal section.

Doing an hour of exercise daily is indeed a "lot", though. Have you updated your fitness goals? Sparkpeople's defaults are set for 30 minutes, 3 times a week... if you're working out more, you may be shortchanging your body's fuel reserves.

As for your financial difficulties, it may be worthwhile to look into community health programs. I know all too well how tough it is with no insurance.

One of you mentioned I am working out a LOT? I work out daily... I get my cardio which is only biking on a stationary bike that has arm "pedals" as well as foot pedals... I just increased to an hour this week... I do the boot camp challenge video daily as well and it just increased to a bonus video 3 times a week. How is that a lot?

As far as eating the SP has me on 1230 to 1580 a day... I eat an average of 1400 a day. I am eating my daily of what is suggested .... the only thing that I don't eat the "max" on is carbohydrates and that is simply because they send my sugar up . I currently don't have a doctor, insurance, or medications due to a very severe financial difficulty in my family... my husband has been diagnosed with a non curable, non proven treated pain disease. We have applied for his social security disability but were denied and have had to obtain a lawyer..they are telling us it can be 2 years before we hear anything. I am currently only working 4 hours every 2 weeks due to my client/patient being put in a nursing home and no new full time client/patient.

You don't have any nutrition trackers shared; what are you eating? "Eating pretty good" means different things to different people, and you may not be giving your body enough of the fuel it needs to function.

Given your medical condition, it may be worth checking with your doctor to ensure your fatigue isn't caused by the diabetes, or another medical condition. You may also have luck seeing a registered dietician to ensure your body gets the fuel it needs while managing your diabetes.

I suggest you ask your question on the Nutrition Message Board...near the top of the lip of message board. Nutrition experts there will makes suggestions. This board is more about new developments in the overall program and not designed for questions such as yours.

Okay.... so I have been on a diet and exercise program on here since 4/24/12. I am doing pretty well. I am sleeping 8 hours a night and drinking well over the 8 glasses of water a day. My diet is pretty good as well. I watch carbs very carefully due to being a diabetic and I know how they run me down.
Here is the problem... about this time every day I am so run down and tired that I can't hold my eyes open or my head up.
I check my sugar and it is normal for me... so I don't understand why I am feeling this way.

Suggestions? Comments?
