This is what works for me. First let me say that no matter how hard i try, i just plain do NOT enjoy workouts, unless its swimming or hiking in the woods. I used to procrastinate terribly. My doctor has insisted that i walk or do other exercise a minimum of 2 hours a day, which was really hard for me to hear.
Then i got thinking. I dont especially like brushing my teeth or taking a shower, but i wouldnt THINK of not doing them!! So, I scheduled in the walking, and its NOT AN OPTION. I do it. EVERY day, and i dont have to like it. It was like the sun came out over the mountains when i realized i didnt HAVE to like it, i just had to do it.
Now, i dont even think about it...i just do it. no motivation necessary its not an option. Start easy...i have to do 2 hours due to docs orders, and i dont always do that 2 hours quickly, but i do it..i break it up sometimes into 15 min segments on a break at work, sometimes when i am not working i do it all at once and try to see someplace i havent been.
