You need to talk to your phsyical therapist or docotr before doing any exercises. Weight gain, if it's true weight gain and not fluctuations, is more likely from your diet than being from lack of exercise. Focus on that first.

Weight loss is more about the calories you eat than the exercise you do. If you're gaining weight while not exercising, you need to adjust your diet accordingly to account for your reduced calorie burn.

3 weeks ago I tore my calf muscle. Since then I haven't been able to do much in exercise. I still have 4 weeks to go until the injury is healed. Any suggestions as to exercise I can do without using my legs that will still help me burn calories? I have gained weight since I have stopped my walking routine.
