There's gotta be something that doesn't hurt. my daughter hurt her back & after a couple weeks of rest & doc ok, she still goes and works out something. Just doesn't workout the thing that hurts. I had surgery and still worked out a few minutes on the Wii until I felt good enough. after under 5 minute "pretend" workouts, I felt good enough to work out 6 min sitting down with the sparkpeople videos. Eventually I got up to 10 min spark people workouts-like crunchless core workouts. Now I am up to 1/2 hr sparkpeople videos. Perserverance man. I like the story about the frog in the bucket of cream. kept kicking and kicking until the cream turned into butter & got out!

So understand the frustration/fear. Focus on the future, as these days don't define the whole journey. Support your body now with care, so that it can deliver better in the future. You can still help yourself in your overall journey while you can't exercise by continuing to watch your diet and research new foods/recipes.
Be strong - you will survive this. A woohoo because you're being very wise in addressing the hurt.

Definitely take a few days off to let your body rest. Don't try to start exercising or you risk making the injury worse. You won't derail any of your efforts at good health or weight loss if you have to take a few more days off.
If the pain doesn't start decreasing soon, call your doctor because it might be something more serious.

I think I injured myself I have to carry equipment as part of my independent contractor job and at best it aches to move and at worst I can barely turn my head. It's been a very long time since I didn't exercise for 2 days in a row. I am going crazy.
