For about $11 I can make extra lean turkey burgers (no buns) using 2 20 oz. packages and a side of frozen veg for my family. For a tad more (after adding in the portion of already on hand shredded cheese & sour cream), I can do tacos (with the same amount of turkey). You can get lower carb shells or ditch the shells altogether.
I can get a 6 pack of turkey sausage/bratwurst for $4.29 at Target.
I can get two bags od peeled, deveind, tail off shrimp for $10 at Walmart. Stirfry some shredded cauliflower, throw in some spices, maybe add some more veg, and I have a stir fry.
You can get big bags of frozen chicken breasts for fairly cheap at most places, expecially bulk stores.
