Many reality shows are sitcoms because the people are so ridiculous (Honey Boo Boo for example) but I prefer the sitcoms for some real humor instead of made-up crap that shows people in the worst possible light.

Lay aside life-harming heaviness and entertain a cheerful disposition.

I am such a BBC nut! Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, Doc Martin! New show starting in January called Ripper Street. All about Scotland Yard detectives during the time Jack the Ripper was doing his thing. Can't wait!!

Big Bang Theory is the only sitcom we watch. We watch alot of the talent related shows, mainly to support friends who have appeared on several of them in the past few seasons like the Voice, which I already watched to support Blake Shelton, whom I grew up with and competed against way back when we were teenagers (and he won!). Tony Lucca was who we were cheering on last season.

I guess to each is own, but for me the novelty of Reality TV has worn off. I'll stick to my sitcoms. My fav is still King of Queens and watch four episodes of it every night instead of snacking. emoticon
