I complained about an add on Sparks. Got a fast response from Sparks and am so glad it isn't here anymore. It was one that you couldn't pass near it or it filled up the page. I have not seen it in a while and hope I never do. Obvious ads are one thing, those sneaky one are another thing. Thanks for the tip about the "featured article."

I really don't mind any kind of advertising here as it keeps the site free to us.

I agree. I also find it really frustrating when regular articles are more than 2 pages long, especially when most of the "page" are about 2 paragraphs long. It really breaks my focus when I have to click a link and wait for a new page to load before I can continue with what I was reading. I would MUCH prefer each article to be on one page, *maybe* two if it's a really long one.

I understand that it is a free site and am grateful that I found it. However, I would like for the people at Spark to use discretion when it comes to allowing advertisers on it's site. I too get frustrated at this. It feels manipulating when you think you are going to read a helpful article to find it is just a "infomercial".

I don't care for them either but it is a free site so we need them. I try not to click on them but sometimes I accidently do and that is a pain cuz my pc is slow and I have to wait to get back!

I read ads. I just want to choose to read them, not have them slip up on me when I am in a hurry.

I don't really mind as this is a free site and I am grateful for that and so is my wallet.

This has bugged me, too, but now I know how to avoid it. When it says "article," it is an article, but when it says "featured article" in an email, it's an ad.

Spark and the coaches amaze me again. I really never thought about getting a spark response to this thread, I was just venting.
Thank you for listening!

It's on the Family Health and Wellness email I received today (7/18/10):
"Featured Article/The Joy of Simple Rewards"

Thanks!

I'm not sure which article you're referring to. Can you provide a link?

Thanks,

Coach Jen

"Read the article" and it's an advertisement for Skinny Cow products? I don't like getting that submerged in my sparkmail.
