I SOOOO agree with Coach Nancy and Archi. I had walking pneumonia years ago-- it is important to listen to your doctor and get lots of rest. (Just going downstairs to the living room, from my bedroom upstairs, had me lying on the couch for at least 30 minutes to recover from the effort.) Everybody's case is different-- I don't remember how long it took to recover or anything. All I know is that I did exactly what the doctor told me to (and I did not do what he told me NOT to do), and I recovered.
It is no time to be worried about exercise-- your number one priority is doing everything you're supposed to, for your body to heal from the pneumonia.

Coach Nancy is right. There is no way to know how long it will take for your body to get over the pneumonia. If you have a weakened immune system, it would take longer to recover than for someone with a strong immune system.
A co-worker of mine has a weak immune system. He caught cold and has been sick for close to two weeks. I have a pretty strong immune system. I had a couple of symptoms he had. thought I was getting sick. went to bed. was fine in the morning.
Do your best to take it easy over the next few days. Try to avoid any strenuous exercise. If you try to exercise while still sick, that will just make it harder for your body to recover.
You really won't derail any of your efforts at good health or weight loss because you have to take some time off.

It's very difficult to compare how someone responds due to the severity of the disease one has and how well one responds to the treatments. Rest is key as your body needs the energy to fight this bug.
