I like to use the snack size zip top bags to make my portion controlled snacks. Just about anything you like to eat can be worked into your daily calorie budget. All you have to do is look at the serving size on the product or use a Food Count reference book to help you figure it out. Nuts & cheese are tasty and nutritious but are high in calories, so their portion size is smaller than other foods you might choose. When you know what your daily calorie budget is, you can divide your 3 main meals into the calorie amount that will leave you room for 1-2 snacks per day. If you want a higher amount of calories at any given meal, then you will need to adjust the amount in the other meals & snacks. Good Luck !
