making positive changes

I'm taking it one day at a time and making sure at least 4 days a week are great, I'm looking at how I can make each meal healthier and with my husband and daughter we are looking at making more stuff rather than just buying it all the time. Also making our budget stretch further when it comes to eating well. We are making home made versions of our favourite takeaways and I'm losing weight/gaining health while eating pizza and teriyaki chicken! No meal is out of bounds but we definitely are ...

Yes I have heard many times that we must be careful how we talk about ourselves and our diets in front of our children especially little girls! If they hear us talking in a negative way about we look - regardless of our weight - they will pick up those habits. So good for you for trying to change your language and food! I wish you guys all the luck! I could PROBABLY go Vegetarian (or some form of it) if it wasn't for my boyfriend lol

Yeah, I took a break from logging online but I realized I need to at least keep an eye on my calorie intake as I underestimate how much I eat!

Paleo is working for you? It is basically no bread/pasta/potato and little to no dairy right?

Thank you for your comment on my blog. I made a 12 week plan starting tomorrow, actually started some of it today, and it has exercise and eating right all included and it is all things that I CAN do and should be able to continue doing for life. I too now have the support of my man behind me on this (for the most part, he will eat what I cook as long as it is not baked chicken and veggies every night lol). We have already made some life style changes over this past year that will give us a jump start on 2014 like pretty much only drinking water, not eating out often etc etc. I want to do a weekly update but we will see what happens. I am going to get my measurements and stuff tomorrow... I know my scale is not 100% accurate but at least it will give me something to go by and I will do inches and stuff too. I am not sure if I am going to post numbers or just let you guys know if what I am doing is working or not but we will see!

I hope you will post updates too! and I wish you and your family love and health in the new year!
