Still here, still trying. Every time I try something different, I learn something new. At some point I will find what works for me.

I'm currently using Lose it! to track my food. The app is awesome, scans bar codes, finds the restaurant your sitting in, its just really convenient, makes tracking easy. Tracking is a must for me.

I've been having a liquid breakfast for about a year now. I've changed it, a lot, tried different stuff, this is where I'm at with it now:

I make it in my NutriBullet. Its basically Natural Spring Water, kale or spinach 1 cup of frozen fruit, 1 banana, GNC Pro Performance 100% Casein Protein powder. Its fast, easy, low fat and nutritious.
I try to keep my meals under 500 calories. If I'm starving I have a snack.

I have been moving a lot more due to my Misfit Shine. I want to at least make my goal of an hour of walking a day. When you work on a computer all day at home, your just not getting in a lot of walking unless you make the effort.
I have restarted my Zombies Run! I'm going back to season 1 and running missed missions and races. I've got quite a few to do. Season 2 is almost complete but I want to be up to date before starting season 3. I'm up to about 3 miles a day, I'm actually running/jogging as much as possible. I walk about a half mile, then run a straight mile, then I try to run as much as possible for the rest.

I started weighing and measuring my foods and buying single serve things like my pretzels and humus I get a little case of the humus single serve at BJ's or Costco, and the single serve bags of pretzels are at Target.

Having my husband and son trying to eat right is a huge help, even if they are still in Baton Rouge, talking about food and exercise with them helps. My SIL who has been living with us since October has been battling diabetes and trying to eat right and lose weight to stay off inulan. She's lost 45 pounds so far, almost out of the 300's! Helping her is helping me stay focused and on track. We help each other stay out of bad eating places. Its only bad when we both get a craving for bad food at the same time LOL. Thankfully it does not happen often!

Personal Information:
I'm still waiting to feel like a grown up!

I'm a wife, mother, sister, daughter.

I've been married to Pete for 26 years

We have a daughter who is 26 and a son who is 21.

Cancer has reared it's ugly head my life in many forms. My dad died from a brain tumor.

My mother lost her voice box to cancer & also had breast cancer.

My MIL passed away due to lung cancer in 2012.

Life is short, enjoy each day for the blessing it is.


Other Information:
I had 2 strokes in 1999 when I was 32 caused by a condition called Central Nervous System Vasculitis. I was already 25 pounds over weight when I got sick and between medication and my balance issues I gained a lot of weight.
I was 280 pounds at my highest weight.
I have some disabilities from the strokes so my exercise is somewhat limited to mostly walking.

Hi Cheryl, Glad to find SOMEONE else from Osceola. I'm on the exact opposite side of Kissimmee from you. Over near St. Cloud. As far as breakfast drinks, I like to have my vanilla whey shake blended with berries. Just picked a ton of blackberries and I honestly think that adding the berries is the reason I was able to drop 4 # in 2 weeks.

Your GNC shake plan reminds me of The Simple Diet (book by same name).
There is a Spark Team by that name that follows it. There might be some ideas there that you could use. I followed a plan similar to the one that you are doing for a long time and liked it.

Thanks for the suggestion Cheryl! I've been considering getting a blender but I get overwhelmed when reading all of the reviews. I do use frozen fruits and I'm graduating to using spinach and kale emoticon haha!!! But I'm a lot like you...I like having liquid for breakfast. It's pretty quick and I don't feel like I'm overeating. I'm really going to take your suggestion into consideration.
