Butterfly ... success is on the horizon!

Once upon a time, I was a very stressed woman, living an overwhelming life. I couldn't manage. By the setting of the sun, I was pulling out my evening snack ... a tray of yummies. Not a plate, not a bowl, but a tray. My weight steadily gained. I never noticed. I wore pup tents for dresses. Not a pair of pants were made that would fit my misshapen form.

I would have continued that horrible existence had I not suffered the most wretched ear infection an adult could ever experience. ...

Not a plate, not a bowl, but a tray. My weight steadily gained. I never noticed. I wore pup tents for dresses. Not a pair of pants were made that would fit my misshapen form.

I would have continued that horrible existence had I not suffered the most wretched ear infection an adult could ever experience. The Nurse Practitioner said my weight without emotion ... "281 pounds." I can't tell you anything else she said, but over a decade later, I can still hear those words, that number. I went home and ate my way into oblivion. The only way I knew to deal with stress at the time ... food.

At 300 pounds, I started my weight loss journey. I lost the weight. Goal ... 150 pounds! A new woman! Truly, and I don't mean to make light of that or make it seem like it was nothing. It was a journey that I took daily, one step at a time and it was not hard ... it wasn't because I didn't take it all at once. Just day by day.

I've been back to the weight loss journey a few times since reaching my goal weight. I've gained as much as 40 pounds three times. When I've not managed stress in my life, I've turned to food. This year, my thyroid failed and I regained the 40 pounds again. I've come to Spark again ... where I find support and can offer support. I'm thankful that I stop myself at 40 pounds gained. I have learned some things! I am stronger than I was! And I'll learn more this time around!

My fav orite exercise is a cross between a lunge and a crunch, it is called LUNCH!!! emoticon emoticon What's yours?
