I Can Do Anything

The Flylady (flylady.net) taught me that "I can do anything for 15 minutes" (declutter, clean, exercise). It was certainly gratifying when I discovered how stressed I was when I was living in clutter and how a quick change of attitude and 15 mins. would let me soar.

Now it's time to extend this motto to all other health related aspects of my life. In particular, I need to accept the philosophy in relation to food/fitness--WELLness!

My Program:
Simple: Baby-steps for me. Eat in moderation and exercise regularly (both cardio and strength building). I refuse to set enormous goals for myself that feel overwhelming. I just wish to focus on short, baby-steps that seem within grasp and CELEBRATE each accomplishment.

Other Information:
"If you feel like quitting, ask yourself why you began. For the Health of It!"

"5K--the gateway drug."

"Progress, not perfection."

"The principle is competing against yourself. It’s about self-improvement, about being better than you were the day before."

"Make every day count and live purposefully, live energetically, live completely. "

"A healthy lifestyle is a process that never stops changing and unfolding, not a predetermined goal you have to reach. Everything is part of that process—good days and bad days, successes and failures, gains and losses, pleasure and pain—and the only thing that can really get in your way is trying to ignore or deny what your own experience can teach you. Don’t waste time regretting or clinging to anything—learn and move on." [DebbieKay1]

Getting ready for the season. Had 3 parties last weekend and stayed away from the snacks table. I won -- a successful weekend!

I fear I must come clean. It has really only been 5 days since I had junk food. I ate a lot of junk food in October/ November but I forgot about the tracker. I have a 15 lb goal in mind and will change my tracker back to pounds then. Should be around our anniversary in February. Back in the zone now. Thanks for the crown. You know I wear it well.

I have proved time and time again, the best tool for me is the food tracker. I need the accountability
