Hello and welcome to my Sparkpage! My name is Julie.
First of all I would like to thank God for allowing me to stumble across Sparkpeople on January 21, 2006. At that time I decided that it was time to make a drastic lifestyle change and do something about my weight. Each day I ate 3 healthy meals, 3 healthy snacks, and drank 64 ounces of water. Over the course of about a year and a half, I lost a total of 90 pounds. I felt so much better, had more energy, and enjoyed my family even more. I know it's all because God gave me the strength, motivation, and willpower to do so. My favorite bible verse is Plilippians 4:13 ~ I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. I know I would not have been able to do so otherwise.
Since that time, I have gotten off the bandwagon and have let some of the weight creep back in. To be exact, I have gained 69 pounds of the weight back. Yikes!
Now I am ready to get serious again and do something about this extra weight I am carrying around!
Not trying to sound cliche, but my motto is "If I can do this, anyone can!" My ultimate goal is to lose 140 pounds. I have 119 more pounds to go. Just getting myself motivated to exercise more would help tremendously.
I welcome any fellow "Sparkers" who would like to share any ideas during our journey to a better life, to do so. I will be glad to as well. Thank you for visiting my Sparkpage and feel free to leave a comment. My prayer is that everyone has the success I have already had and will continue to have.
