Christie's journey

My name is Christie. I am 47. I have one son who is eight-years-old. He is my blessing as it took eight years to get pregnant. In January 0f 2012, we were blessed with my "surprise" baby, Madeline Rose. Madeline is now three-years-old.

I am finally committed to get fit and healthy so that I can be a role model to my children. No more excuses.

I am also going to focus on healthy eating for me and my family.

I hope that my weight loss/healthy lifestyle ...

I hope that my weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey motivates you as well.

Step #2: Drink water

Step #3: Exercise

My Goals:
My goal is to finally be consistent with exercise and to eat in a healthy manner.

I would like fitness to be a major part of life and to be lean and healthy once again.

A clothing size goal would be size 8 and I want to wear my wedding ring once again.

My Program:
Long term goal: Working out four days per week and charting my fitness minutes.

Short term goals:

1) Drinking 8 glasses of water each day.

2) Eating fruit daily.

3) Tracking my food daily.

Personal Information:
*Mom to a son, seven-year-old Nason whom I never thought I would have. I also have a two-year-old daughter, my surprise at age 43!

Other Information:
Heading toward a goal of size 8, but really want to be a size 6.

Fun information:

My favorite movies are: Gone With The Wind, Funny Farm, Pride and Prejudice (BBC version) and When Harry Met Sally.

Christie, you need to put your fitness minutes burned in (calories burned by doing IFM- intentional fitness minutes). You put in your calories eaten, then the BMR should be automatically loaded in

Christie,
To load photos to a team, they have made it simple, at the wall post place, there is an button for add photo - do that instead of typing in something int he larger box. You can add a comment after you press that button.

Christie, Yup, you have learned lesson one of BMR. There are different formulas and they do give slightly different answers. Sparkpeople uses a BMR also but for many people that one can be high as I think they add in your activity level and people who work at a desk don't run that high.

You can pick one that feels right for you and use it for a few weeks and see how it does. That is what the Renegades did if they didn't know the number that works for them.

Also, some people add in their activity level which I think seems to work better if you physically chase after toddlers all day long, but doesn't work for people who sit at a desk all day long. It is that calculation that says if you are active add this much, if you are very active add in this much, etc.

So just choose one and start using the CICO (top of the tracker), and see how it works.

Note: If you use some other tracker that calculates calorie deficit already, you can just once a week enter your weekly calorie deficit in the Team Goals in row 3. Or you can put in the total Calories eaten and Calories burned with exercise into the CICO in one day (e.g. Tues) and see what it tells you for the week total.
If you use the CICO fields at the top it will copy the Calorie Deficit down into Row 3 of the Weeklong Challenge.
