Welcome to Sixty's Page

"Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles . . . . it empties today of its strength." Corrie Ten Boom [Spark featured quote; August 22, 2010] I heard Corrie Ten Boom speak in the late 1960's. I had forgotten how inspiring she was.

Quote of the Day

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence."
Helen Keller

Helen Keller was one smart lady and her words still ring true-for those of us sturggling to succeed here on Spark, we need the hope that we can and the confidence that eventually we will succeed.

Have a wonderful day.

For yesterday I hold no apologies,
For tomorrow I hold no answers,
Today is a gift and I will honor it by fully living in it.

May God Bless you today, tomorrow and always.

If God didn't have a purpose for us, we wouldn't be here!

Live simply.

Love generously.

Care deeply.

Speak kindly.

Leave the rest to God.

Quote of the Day

"Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity."
Gilda Radner

About Gilda Radner

The endearingly goofy American comedian Gilda Radner was the first actor cast on "Saturday Night Live" and stayed with the show for six years, creating such beloved characters as Baba Wawa, Emily Litella, and Rosanne Rosannadanna. She was born in Detroit in 1946. After she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the late 1980's, she wrote "It's Always Something," a book about her experiences. Her widower, Gene Wilder, founded the "Gilda's Club" national support group after her death in 1989.

I found this very profound and always enjoyed Gilda so wanted to share this. Hope it is as interesting to you as it was to me.
