New Year, New Me!

It's a new year and I have a new perspective on resolutions.I found an interesting article online about making and keeping resolutions. It even had a worksheet attached to go through to create do-able and achievable resolutions. I came up with 3 resolutions and truly believe this is the year I will actually keep them and achieve my goals.

RESOLUTION 1: Lose 1.5 pounds per week for a total of at least 75. Steps to achieve goal: (1) Meal plan every meal and remain within calorie parameters, (2) Prepare as much as possible ahead of time to be ready to cook and serve easily, and (3) TRACK every single meal and bite that goes in my mouth.

RESOLUTION 2: Stick to a Budget/credit card pay off plan. Steps to achieve goal: (1) Find credit card payoff estimator, (2) Create 12 month payoff spreadsheet, and (3) Keep track of every expenditure no matter how small or seemingly inconsequential.

RESOLUTION 3: Less screen time, more face time. Steps to achieve goal: (1) Keep computer turned off after work at home unless necessary (paying bills, banking, etc), (2) Lessen game playing on smart phone in evenings before bed, and (3) Limit TV watching to regular (long-term) shows from 7PM-10PM and off at other times.

Yes, I realize I don't have a resolution for exercise/fitness. Right now if I can get the calorie intake under control that is good for me. I will continue my goal from last year of walking 500 extra steps each month until I get to 10,000 daily. I am consistently at 6,500 per day right now.
