I'm a mom of 3 teens, and a wife of a thin, athletic man. I've taught high school for 21 years, I graduated with a Masters Degree in August. I maintained the same weight for years till I hit 40, and now I'm trying to get back there, to stay! Being so busy all the time, it's easy to just let myself go, but I know I can't do that any longer.
I'm editing my page because I've managed to gain 3 lbs this year, so I'm starting over. I'm setting a smaller goal. Hopefully I can edit again to increase that goal.
I would like to get down to the manageable weight I maintained during my 30's, as well as regain some muscle tone.
I'm more toned, and stonger, but haven't lost an ounce. My goal now is to not gain more, and look the best I can at the weight I am. I would still love to lose, but am tired of growling at the scale.
I've adapted more healthy eating habits, but still have trouble keeping my calorie count down when cooking for my family.
Jan. 2010 This is still true. Here are my fitness changes:
I walk/run on the treadmill 2 times a week for 45 minutes, and strength train 40 minutes twice a week.
I enjoy, to varying degrees: traveling,audiobooks, exercising, vegging in front of the tv, watching my kids do things they enjoy, actually reading books, The Biggest Loser, napping. There is always cat fluff on my computer keyboard. But I will not kick her off my lap!
