I never get bored of this place!!

This place of friendship, education, consciousness raising, respect, support, shared goal setting, and recognition for achieving steps forward. All for FREE for anyone with access to the internet and a desire.

The computer based tools and the Activity Tracker really keep you on track if you learn and use them rigorously. After some time it becomes part of your conscious habits and you start craving heirloom tomatoes instead of midnight leftover cake.

This is a re-training of the mind as well as the body. Who of us has not said "as I get older it's not possible or way harder to do some things anymore" -- when in actuality you very well could! (shout out to my teams here).

The knee pain diagnosed as "knee replacement candidate" 1.5 years ago has gone and I'm able to sit cross legged for meditation again. People tell me I don't resemble someone "my age." I've learned how to size my food and what nutrients I need every day to stay healthy. Joining the gym wasn't something I would have done on my own volition.

I am finally seeing my significant 26 year old pregnancy weight gain slowly but surely slipping away. Very awesome.

Today Iím resetting my intention for further weight loss. Now that I am knocking at 180 Iím going to reach 170. Itís always slow going but Iím feeling ready to push hard again.

Hi, my name is Cat and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I've been a SparkPerson since August 7, 2013. I'm feeling a shift towards a healthier me already.

My appetite has returned now that I'm not eating snacks (especially sugar), I'm cooking new recipes - food tastes so much better now that I have a better idea of what foods make me feel best - eating out much less (and eating much less when I eat out), and eating local produce and ethically grown animal protein. I'm challenged by my wonderful Spark Teams to look at myself in a more positive way by joining different challenges and just sharing a bit about my own struggles and successes. Thank you all for sharing your journeys with me too, checking in on my SparkPage and helping me to get familiar traveling around the Spark World!

Cat, you're right-we are in about the same spot in terms of weight loss goals. Wouldn't it be great to get this 20-30 lb weight loss behind us this year?!

I see you'll be dining downtown somewhere tonight. I hope the weather holds and it's as nice as it is right now. Let me know where and how you like it. I'm always interested in finding new spots to go or hearing about a dining experience. Have fun!
