This is me. THIRTY pounds less than when I started this journey!!
Here's my goal, 752km tip to tip!!! MAY 2, 2009 I finished!!!! Goal met!!!!!! 5K next!!
I just up and decided that I have to do this: for me, for my daughter, for my health, did I mention -for me!?
Okay, so, I joined the Done team! What a great bunch they are!!
I've decided to stop watching the scale and start paying attention to how my clothes feel. My new 'short' goal is, when summer is over, and i NEED to buy new jeans i WANT them to be a size 16! That will be smaller than I've been in 14 years!!! I can do this! Know why I know that??? Cause I'm DONE!!!!! No more losing a size - buying a belt - getting comfortable(read LAZY here) - and then 'all of a sudden' not needing the belt anymore. From here on out, drop a size, purge the closet and drawers of those sizes and work on going down one more size!!
Diamonds don't become diamonds without some pressure and polish. As the song says," I'm just an old lump of coal, now Lord, but I'm gonna be a diamond some day!"

I bought size 16 jeans!!! A size I haven't worn in about 10 years!!!!!
I also am to the point where I miss my exercise sessions when I don't get them in. I NEVER thought I'd say that!!!!!!!!!
January 6, 2009-----Today is my birthday, getting cozy with 36. At 0230 I was on the bike at the gym and thinking GOYAAM. I whipped off 45 minutes and 16.2kms!!!! Hell yeah!!! That's double my usual time on the bike!!! Can I do 45 minutes tomorrow night and beat my kms? HELL YEAH!!!
NEW YEAR...RENEWED OUTLOOK!!
*2L of water per day
*3km walked, or at least 20-25 minutes on the bike ,4 times a week.
*A journal log daily of activity done and for how long.Also km's covered.
*Breakfast everyday even if my day starts at 2pm, because of backshift!
*1 cooked hot meal a day, which is not always easy, as a shift working nurse and single Mom!!!

Finish a 5K. I want to run some, but I won't be ready to run all of it. That will be for the next one. This one is just to prove to me that I can do it!!!
