Getting and Staying Healthy For Life

It has taken me a lifetime to get where I am today, it wasn't so fast!
I have been up & down on the scale so many times I just want it to end!
In 2009 my doctor told me I would have to take cholesterol meds to lower my cholesterol and then when the Long Term Health Care application was rejected because I was 20 lbs over their limit, I knew it was time again to try to get to a healthier weight. Besides, I hated how I looked in a pic!
Really to stay motivated isn't very easy ...

Really to stay motivated isn't very easy for me, I need a support system, and constant reminders. The weight creeps back in to my life when I don't keep my goals in check.
The SP Fitness Tracker is awesome, I love mapping the different routs we take. After logging my food I use the daily analysis, it is great to see that my eating and exercise was in sync or not!

My Program:
Stay within my calorie range
Plan ahead by thinking about what I will eat in the upcoming week.
Joined a fitness center-take a class 2-3 X a week
drink water - no soda pop!
eat more freggies (fruit & veggies)
Stay dedicated to the 5% summer challenge





Personal Information:
Walking, biking, aerobics, and strength training, are my favorite way to be active. Using the hula hoop is fun too, but I don't burn off many calories doing it. If you want to hula hoop, make sure it is as round as you are tall. A weighted one will help you keep going.
I am determined to stay motivated!
Everyone at SP is a great network for support and strength!
Since before we retired, my dear hubby and I have been walking for over 10 yrs and he is one of my best hiking & biking partners!

Other Information:
I am more determined than ever to get back to my goal weight. My DH & I celebrated 29 yrs of marriage this year and have been snowbirds for 4 yrs now. We are expecting our 5th grand baby this November. I am a self-taught knitter and crocheter. Just learning how to knit.

HI TY Alley for the time,,, on Sat,, what kind of butterflies where you trying to take pics of? how did they come out? Living in ME,,, we do not have a huge variety of them,,, I WISh we did the blue winged ones, but we do have the monarch ones,,, with the BRIGHT ORANGE wings,, they are soooo COOL !! In the 2nd grade,, we did as most schools do,,, and I know they STILL DO THIS now,,,,, to find a few caterpillars and put them in a jar,, with holes in them,, and a few braches,, and watch them spin the cocoon,,,, and later on,, break out as a butterfly. It was such fun that to this day,, I DO remember it as if it were just happening. :)

Glad the ad blocker is working! My DD is doing WW so I thought I would to to help support her and maybe get me out of my slump.
