Well it isn't gardening like you're thinking about. It rained recently, so the dratted bindweed and the other weeds are sticking their little heads up out of the ground before springing exuberantly into jungle growth mode. This is the best time to pull them.
Some knucklehead planted privet in the backyard, and the blasted stuff volunteers like crazy -- so now is the time to get out & yank them out of the ground before the ground dries back to its normal clay/concrete consistency.
So it wasn't me kneeling on a pad, putting in a herbaceous border with my trowel and trug -- it was manual labor. Which really counts as exercise!
Good morning Abby. Thank you so much for my lovely baby wishes, that is so kind of you. Well our little grandson James is just beautiful. He seems a good baby from what I can see all though I haven't met him yet. We live in Vancouver and they live in England, so we have a trip planned in a couple of weeks time. Then I can really become a nanny!
